Resort De Coracao soars to cloud heights with Hotelogix

Resort De Coracao, a leading hotel group in Goa and Corbett, India, has effectively moved to the cloud with Hotelogix to improve operational efficiency during peak seasons. As the holiday season draws near, the hotel has been trained to handle an increase in bookings while still providing excellent customer service.

Dev Kumar, AGM – Sales & Marketing at Resort De Coracao, highlighted the difficulties of a server-based Property Management System (PMS), stating, “It restricted our ability for operation and efficiency during peak season business.” Recognizing the requirement for a more dynamic solution, the group moved to Hotelogix in 2020, signaling a significant shift in their operating landscape.

The switch to a Cloud-based Hotel PMS has benefited Resort De Coracao, with considerable increases in revenue, occupancy rates, and overall operational efficiency. The group currently administers properties across locations consolidated, ensuring smooth business operations and improved operational control.

The hotel business anticipates an increase in passengers as the holiday and new year season approaches. Resort De Coracao distinguishes itself with its cloud-based PMS, which enables them to offer rooms on multiple Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) with real-time updates via Channel Manager connection. This not only maintains rate parity, but also saves significant time (approximately 90% everyday), allowing the staff to focus on the requirements of the guests.

Dev Kumar praises the cloud-based PMS for its adaptability, which allows staff to manage reservations, check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and billing from any location or device, hence improving the overall guest experience. Resort De Coracao employs the cloud-based PMS to quickly scale up infrastructure, handling growing demand efficiently from mid-November through December.

The move to cloud computing stresses flexibility and data protection, allowing for distant access and seamless collaboration. Backups and disaster recovery options add an added degree of protection, protecting guest data.
