Turo, the premier peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace in Canada, has forged partnerships with Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Calgary International Airport (YYC), establishing specific locations for Turo guests to easily pick up their vehicles upon landing. At YVR, vehicles can be parked in the parkade, while at YYC, options include the overheight public parking lot, the economy parking lot, or parkades P1 and P2. This setup allows guests to swiftly check into their car rentals remotely, moments after they walk out of the airport.
These pioneering collaborations mark a significant milestone for both airports, underscoring the escalating interest in car sharing for both domestic and international travelers. Turo is leading the charge in revolutionizing travel and transport convenience, further enhancing its network of airport partners across Canada by incorporating these vital west coast airports.
At its core, Turo prioritizes flexibility and convenience, presenting users with the choice to have vehicles delivered directly to their doorstep, notable landmarks, and now, directly to Vancouver and Calgary International Airports. Guests have the luxury of selecting their preferred vehicle model and can personalize their experience with additional features like bike racks for adventurous outings or child seats for family travel.
“Our partnerships with large, international airports across Canada illustrate car sharing’s continued momentum and further enhance the Turo experience for guests and hosts alike. Travellers arriving in Vancouver and Calgary will have a delightful experience, where they can skip the rental car counter altogether, jump into their booked vehicle and get on the road as soon as possible,” said Cedric Mathieu, Senior Vice President and Head of Turo Canada. “This is also a great opportunity for local hosts, who can turn their vehicles into additional income while providing a five-star experience for all their guests flying in.”
Presently, Turo boasts a vibrant community of hundreds of thousands of active users, enjoying access to a diverse fleet of tens of thousands of vehicles across eight provinces in Canada.
