Rise in tourism postings

In India, the tourism industry is thriving and companies have job vacancies to fill in. In August, there has been a 44% growth in terms of demand of hiring in the industry, as per the recent information produced by foundit, the recruitment platform.

In 2019, job postings in tourism gained 16% however, in 2020 it declined by almost half during the pandemic times. In 2023, the revival has been dramatic.

Now, many businesses are capitalizing in digital conversion and technology to take newcomers and retain employees, noted the report.

Fresh methods comprise implementation of the gig model of taking in autonomous workers for temporary commitments, to get over talent shortage. As per the information from foundit, since January 2023, there has been 14% growth in gig roles.
