Riyadh To Lahore Flights Boost Travel Options For Expatriates And Tourists With Flyadeal’s Rapid Expansion

Published on October 14, 2025

Flyadeal, a low-cost airline based in Saudi Arabia, has announced the launch of a new service connecting Riyadh to Lahore. Starting on October 27, the airline will operate twice-weekly flights, marking another significant expansion of its network within South Asia. This new route makes Lahore the fifth destination in Pakistan for the airline, just three months after its initial entry into the Pakistani market.

Expanding Connectivity for Travelers

Flyadeal‘s expansion into Pakistan has been swift, with the airline already offering services to Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot. Lahore, Pakistan’s second-largest city, has been added to the list of destinations, bringing the airline’s total weekly flights to 18. This rapid rollout is aimed at catering to the strong demand from the large Pakistani expatriate community residing in Saudi Arabia.

The addition of Lahore is seen as a strategic move by Flyadeal to tap into the growing travel market. Lahore is not only a key business hub but also a popular leisure destination, making it an attractive market for low-cost travel. The airline’s new service will provide both business and leisure travelers with affordable and convenient options to fly between Riyadh and Lahore.

Enhancing Tourism Between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan

The new route will offer a significant boost to tourism between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Lahore, with its rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and vibrant lifestyle, is a popular destination for tourists from Saudi Arabia. Pakistani expatriates living in the Kingdom often travel back home for business or leisure, and Flyadeal’s affordable fares are likely to make this connection even more accessible.

With a growing number of Pakistanis visiting family and friends, the route between Riyadh and Lahore is expected to become one of the busiest for Flyadeal. The airline’s model of offering value-for-money services aligns well with the preferences of travelers who seek affordable options without compromising on quality.

A Growing Fleet for an Expanding Market

Flyadeal, a sister airline to Saudi national carrier Saudia, operates a fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft, each configured with 186 economy-class seats. The airline’s business model revolves around keeping operational costs low while maintaining capacity. This allows it to offer budget-friendly fares, especially for destinations like Lahore, where demand is high due to the expatriate population.

The addition of the Riyadh-Lahore route reflects the airline’s broader expansion strategy. Flyadeal, which was established in 2017, currently operates 42 aircraft and services more than 30 destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and South Asia. The airline has focused on expanding its footprint in South Asia due to the strong demand and the growing number of travelers between Saudi Arabia and the region.

Strategic Fit with Saudi Vision 2030

Flyadeal’s expansion in South Asia, including the new route to Lahore, aligns with the broader objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. This national initiative, which seeks to diversify Saudi Arabia’s economy and increase international connectivity, has been a driving force behind the development of the Kingdom’s aviation sector. As part of this vision, Flyadeal has been actively increasing its operations and reaching new markets that serve both leisure and business travelers.

The Impact on Air Travel for Expatriates

The new Riyadh-Lahore flights will cater primarily to the Pakistani expatriate community in Saudi Arabia, making it easier for them to travel between the two countries. The airline’s low-cost offerings will allow more travelers to visit their families in Pakistan, boosting personal travel as well as business and worker traffic. Lahore, with its historic sites and cultural landmarks, will continue to attract more visitors, especially from Saudi Arabia’s sizable Pakistani community.

Additionally, Flyadeal’s strategic pricing will encourage tourism, especially from the younger demographic who seek budget-friendly travel options. As the airline focuses on providing value-for-money services, it is expected to attract more tourists to Lahore, further enhancing the city’s appeal as a tourist destination.

Future Plans for Flyadeal in South Asia

Flyadeal’s growth in Pakistan is just the beginning. With new routes being introduced rapidly, the airline is positioning itself as a key player in the budget travel market. The airline’s focus on expanding its network in South Asia, combined with its affordable pricing structure, is likely to continue attracting travelers who are looking for budget-conscious options to explore new destinations.

As Flyadeal’s fleet continues to grow, the airline is expected to further increase its frequency of flights and add more destinations across Pakistan and the broader South Asian region. With its commitment to offering affordable, reliable, and efficient services, Flyadeal is poised to become an essential travel option for both expatriates and tourists in the coming years.
