North Korea

Russian travelers are prepared to create a history by going on a ski spree to North Korea, thereby making them the first global tourists to visit the country from the time when Pyongyang shut its borders in 2020 for the period of the pandemic.

This development emphasizes the increasing collaboration between Moscow and Pyongyang. It adheres to the conference held last September between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at a cosmodrome in the Far East of Russia.

An indefinite number of travelers from Russia’s far eastern region of Primorye will visit Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, where they will discover the ‘Tower of Juche Idea’, termed after the inaccessible country’s regulatory values of ‘Juche’ or self-reliance.

These travelers would next visit the North’s Masik Pass on the east coast, which houses the most contemporary ski resort of the country.

The Kim-Putin meeting gave rise to the assumption that North Korea might supply conventional weapons to Russia for the fight in Ukraine. The White House of late claimed indication of Russia shooting North Korea-provided artilleries at Ukraine, provoking mutual censure from the US, Japan and South Korea among others.
