SA tourism workers allege board of targeting whistleblowers

Workforces at SA Tourism have alleged the temporary board of making use of the hotline and whistle blowing platforms made for staffs for reporting misconduct and in the organization as a witch-hunt instrument to threaten staff members.

The workforces accused that the temporary board chairperson Tim Harris tried and was unsuccessful to lobby capitals from SA Tourism for his world surfing league.

Replying to the accusations, Harris said that once a report is accelerated to them, the panel does not have
the choice to do nothing.

Harris also said that the panel revised each case and determined to examine quite a few that comprised
possibly reliable accusations, including favoritism, negligence and dishonesty. 

In the early part of this year, the parliamentary tourism selection group blamed the tourism board associates of looking to take over and control the body.
