As the domestic tourism is reviving slowly, activities of the marine tourists will unavoidably find renewed energy in the Saipan Lagoon.

Variety has a discussion with the former owner-operator of B-Sea Sunsports, Bill Owens, for his viewpoint on what it’s like maneuvering a marine sports corporation in the Marianas.

From the early 1990s to 2016, Owens operated B-Sea Sunsports. In 1993, he was providing tours on parasailing with a single boat. His work got bigger to include gear rental, banana boat rides, and beyond finally. At present, he has no inclination in introducing another company related to the tourism sector; however, he realizes how precious they are for the Marianas economy’s health.

When questioned about the strong points of the sector, Owens stated that Managaha is an island treasure.

Owens also added that the lagoon in the region of Managaha is different to others. The way that particular lagoon is developed with the fringing coral reefs and the island of Managaha located inside the reef, makes it a true gem.

Owens also said that part of what made his job satisfying was offering an excellent customer experience that they had never experienced before, the crystal-clear blue water of the lagoon or the marine environment underneath it.

Owens explained that he always keeps in mind that in lagoon, there’s a certain point when he is taking customers out and he knows they’ll start with their different expressions of amazement as he can almost point it out.
