San Antonio tourism to get a big lift

Next month, the tourism industry of San Antonio will get a big lift, with the U.S. Travel Association’s IPW convention visiting San Antonio for the first time. It is predictable to fetch millions of dollars for the city.


David Gonzalez, the Vice President of media affairs for Visit San Antoniosaid that this is the Super Bowl of global travel for the US. It’s the most significant meeting that is being organized in San Antonio.


IPW is thought to be a leading travel trade show in the US, endorsing travel to the country from around the world. Attendees would be there from more than 70 countries of the world.


Gonzalezsaidthat more than 5,000 people would be visiting San Antonio, comprisingover 500 media personnel from around the world. It’s going to be a wonderful single shot for boosting San Antonio on the international stage.


IPW 2023 is likely to produce a projected $614 million in global visitor expenditure for San Antonio in the next three years and attractan excess of 395,000 global visitors to the city. San Antonio’s tourism and hospitality trade is alsocoming back following the pandemic.


In 2021, travel and tourismmade more than $16 billion in financialimpression, which is about 93% of the figures before the pandemic.
