SAS launches direct flights from TORP to Copenhagen

It was announced that starting April 28, SAS will be reintroducing flights connecting TORP Sandefjord Airport with Copenhagen Airport, catering to the growing demand for increased international flight options between the two cities. This newly introduced service by SAS is designed to offer passengers more convenient access to worldwide destinations such as New York, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Shanghai, and London, by providing smooth connections through Copenhagen.

Kjetil Håbjørg, a high-ranking official at SAS, shared his excitement about initiating direct flights between TORP and Copenhagen this spring. He underscored the appeal of Sandefjord and its vicinity for both leisure and business travelers who are in search of easy travel solutions to global destinations. Furthermore, TORP Airport is being promoted as a welcoming entry point for international business visitors and tourists interested in discovering the scenic region of Norway.

The summer flight schedule has been detailed as follows:

For the summer shoulder season, which spans from April 28 to June 26 and resumes after August 12, the flight itinerary includes departures from Copenhagen to TORP at 10:35 from Monday to Friday, along with an additional flight on Saturday afternoons at 14:20. Conversely, the flights departing from TORP to Copenhagen are scheduled at 12:35 from Monday to Friday, and at 16:20 on Saturdays.

During the peak of the summer season, from June 27 to August 11, the flights are arranged to depart from Copenhagen to TORP at 13:45 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with an early flight on Saturdays at 11:15. The return journeys from TORP back to Copenhagen are scheduled at 15:45 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with the Saturday return flight at 13:15.

This initiative by SAS to reconnect TORP Sandefjord with Copenhagen is a strategic move to enhance the travel experience for passengers by offering them direct flights and facilitating easier transitions to major cities around the globe. This endeavor not only responds to the demand for more international flight options but also strengthens the accessibility and attractiveness of Sandefjord as a destination for both business and leisure purposes.
