The Tourism Development Fund continues its nationwide tour, sparking new tourism investments in Al-Ahsa, driving growth in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Ahsa: The Tourism Development Fund (TDF), a key player in boosting Saudi Arabia’s tourism industry, recently concluded its latest tour stop in Al-Ahsa, as part of an ongoing nationwide initiative.

The visit focused on fostering collaboration with private sector stakeholders and entrepreneurs, paving the way for new tourism investments in the region.
Upon arrival, TDF’s executive team was warmly welcomed by the Governor of Al-Ahsa and the Acting CEO of the Al-Ahsa Development Authority, Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr. This meeting highlighted the strong collaborative spirit driving TDF’s mission to expand private sector involvement in tourism projects and explore strategic growth opportunities in Al-Ahsa’s tourism landscape.

TDF also engaged in productive discussions with EngEssam bin Abdul Latif Al-Mulla, the Mayor of Al-Ahsa, and Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Mousa, who serves as the Chairman of the Al-Ahsa Chamber of CommerceThese dialogues were crucial in identifying promising investment prospects and outlining TDF’s pivotal role in empowering the private sector to contribute to the objectives of the National Tourism Strategy.
A key highlight of the visit was the “Tourism Development Townhall,” organized in partnership with the Al-Ahsa Chamber of Commerce. During the event, TDF’s leadership team presented strategic pathways designed to support private sector investors in advancing the tourism industry. They also showcased TDF’s business solutions, which aim to facilitate sustainable growth for investors within the local tourism sector.

According to a press release, TDF has successfully facilitated seven major tourism projects in Al-Ahsa, representing a total investment exceeding SAR 2 billion. Once completed, these projects are expected to add more than 700 hotel rooms to meet the growing demand from tourists.
The Al-Ahsa stop is part of a broader nationwide tour by TDF, conducted in collaboration with regional chambers of commerce. The tour aims to raise awareness about TDF’s various programs and incentives, encouraging investors to explore new opportunities within the tourism sector. By supporting these initiatives, TDF is driving sustainable tourism growth and contributing to the wider goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
