The event, taking place on December 18 at UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris, aims to underscore the cultural and civilizational significance of the Arabic language, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
The Saudi-UNESCO collaboration will explore the role of modern technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, in supporting the Arabic language and advancing its global reach.

Topics will also include AI-driven advancements in Arabic language education, the use of machine learning for translation, and digital efforts to preserve linguistic and cultural heritage.
A gathering of global scholars, researchers, and experts will explore the distribution of Arabic content online and strategies to improve language learning for non-native speakers, according to SPA.

On Wednesday, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language held the World Arabic Language Day event at the UN headquarters in New York.
In May, Saudi Arabia introduced the Arabic Intelligence Center, the world’s first institution dedicated to AI-driven Arabic language processing.
