Looking ahead to 2026, Apple plans to open flagship retail locations, improving customer access to its products and services across the country.
Additionally, the tech giant will create a signature retail space in Diriyah, a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site, as part of its broader expansion efforts.
Apple’s retail expansion in Saudi Arabia is part of a broader commitment to invest in the region’s tech ecosystem. This includes the launch of the country’s first Apple Developer Academy in Riyadh in 2021, developed in collaboration with the Saudi government, Tuwaiq Academy, and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
The all-women academy at the university provides elite training for future coders, designers, and entrepreneurs, equipping them for careers in Saudi Arabia’s rapidly growing app sector.

To date, nearly 2,000 students have completed programming courses and are now publishing apps on the App Store, reaching both local and international audiences.
In addition to these initiatives, Apple has expanded its educational offerings through new academy programs and partnerships. This summer, the company hosted Saudi Arabia’s inaugural coed Apple Foundation Program, a month-long course focused on coding and game development.
Looking ahead, Apple plans to continue expanding its coed foundation programs, with the next cohort slated for spring 2025.
Apple is making significant investments in Saudi Arabia, generating employment opportunities and bringing innovative technologies to artists, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and commuters. In the last five years, the company has committed more than SR10 billion ($2.6 billion) to local partnerships.
This month, Riyadh became the latest city to integrate Apple Pay for transit users, joining over 250 cities worldwide where commuters can seamlessly use the service for public transportation.
