Saudi Arabia’s tourism proceeds reached US$10bn at the start of this year, as the kingdom endures to
develop its travel and tourism segment.
The first part of this year witnessed a 225 percent progress compared to the similar time last year. That
amounted to SAR37bn ($9.9bnbn), according to data from Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).
There were nearly 7.8 million travelers during the initial part of this year, marking the maximum quarterly show ever. The similar period in before the pandemic in 2019 was 64 percent lesser.
Saudi Arabia is increasing its tourism segment as it expands its nationwide economy in agreement with the National Tourism Development Strategy and objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Saudi Arabia has also progressed 16 places in the global tourism profits directory in the last few years,
climbing to the 11th place last year, equated to 27th in 2019.
