Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris

The Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris introduces an extraordinary farm-to-table culinary adventure, brimming with delight and genuine experiences, sure to captivate epicureans.

Embark on this journey starting at the hotel’s entrance, where Chef Simone Zanoni personally welcomes guests for a direct transfer to the Domaine de Madame Elisabeth. Nestled 20 kilometers (13 miles) southwest of Paris in Versailles, this expansive estate once belonged to King Louis XVI’s sister. Here lies Le George’s kitchen garden, spanning 1,800 square meters (19,000 square feet) of chemical-free land, providing the Michelin-starred restaurant with year-round seasonal produce. Under Chef Zanoni’s supervision, tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, eggplants, and an array of other fruits and vegetables flourish, cultivated with the assistance of a team in professional reintegration programs.

Amidst this picturesque and unassuming setting, guests are invited to explore the vegetable garden alongside Chef Zanoni, handpicking fresh greens and learning the art of harvesting at the peak of flavor. It’s a moment of connection where the Chef imparts his values and passion for sustainable practices, advocating for locally sourced seasonal ingredients.

Once ingredients are gathered, guests convene in a wooden open-air kitchen nestled within the heart of the garden. Equipped with a barbecue station, pizza oven, and pasta machine, this intimate space sets the stage for an alfresco cooking class led by Chef Zanoni himself. Together, they unveil culinary secrets and prepare simple yet exquisite dishes like tomato and burrata salad, grilled zucchini with lemon, or tagliolini with pesto. As they cook, guests indulge in an aperitivo, accompanied by Champagne bubbles, before coming together to enjoy lunch in the rustic yet elegant ambiance.

Guided by Le George’s Head Sommelier Francesco Cosci, named Best Sommelier of Italy in 2023, guests can select wines to complement their meal. Prior to their journey to Versailles, Francesco personally escorts them to the hotel’s cellar, recommending wines that harmonize perfectly with their chosen dishes. For wine enthusiasts seeking outdoor wine-tasting, Francesco leads them to the vegetable garden, sharing his profound knowledge and passion for wines.

To culminate this experience with an ambiance reminiscent of la dolce vita, guests can savor summer evenings with a dinner under the stars, illuminated by glass lanterns and candles, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
