Scandic Hotels Group appoints Pär Christiansen as new CFO

Pär Christiansen has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer for Scandic Hotels Group (publ), and he is set to assume his new role on March 1. Pär will join Scandic’s Executive Committee. The current Chief Financial Officer, Åsa Wirén, will be departing from her position at Scandic.

Pär Christiansen brings extensive experience in financial, strategic, and operational roles at major international companies, including Euroflorist, SAS, and Clas Ohlson. Åsa Wirén, the current CFO, will officially leave Scandic on January 17.

Jens Mathiesen, President & CEO of Scandic Hotels Group, expressed anticipation for Pär’s addition to the Executive Committee, highlighting his substantial CFO experience and management roles at prominent international firms. Pär, who recently served as CFO at Euroflorist, expressed eagerness to contribute to Scandic’s ongoing success, emphasizing the company’s strong financial position and leading brand.

In the interim period before Pär assumes his role, Jens Mathiesen will serve as the acting CFO. Pär Christiansen is scheduled to commence his duties at Scandic on March 1.
