Scranton pair wins $12K in Sundance Vacations’ major giveaway

On March 15, 2024, Nicole Ammons and Angelo Rivera from Scranton, Pennsylvania, were awarded a $12,000 check at Sundance Vacations’ corporate headquarters in Wilkes-Barre, PA, by Denise Miller and Carrie Hausherr, the company’s Associate Vice Presidents of Marketing. Selected in early March from numerous entries, they emerged as the annual grand prize winners of Sundance Vacations. Denise Miller highlighted the company’s commitment to making a positive difference in people’s lives, stating, “At Sundance, we’re driven by a desire to have a positive impact. From making travel more enriching to our weekly $1,000 sweepstakes and the grand year-end prize, our goal is to create fun, passionate, and memorable experiences.” As existing Sundance Vacations clients, Nicole and Angelo plan to use their prize money for travel.

Over two decades, Sundance Vacations co-founders John and Tina Dowd have distributed more than $926,000 in awards to participants of various events throughout the United States who entered the competition by filling out Sundance Vacations entry forms. These events span sports games, concerts, festivals, and beyond. The 2023 roster of winners features individuals like Jeremy Reck, recipient of event tickets; Heather Lepkowsky, who won a $1,000 gift card; and the newly married Sharon Saunders and Gregory McCalop, who were awarded a dream vacation. Winners are annually selected in the first week of January based on the entries from the preceding year.
