SEA Airport gears up for spring break surge with 3.18 million passengers expected

With Spring Break upon us, local school districts are out, marking a bustling period for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). For those out of the travel loop or seasoned travelers alike, a smooth journey begins with forward planning, readiness, and adaptability. SEA is set to welcome approximately 3.18 million travelers between March 23 and April 14, mirroring figures from 2023. Notably, March 29 and April 5 are anticipated to be the peak travel days, with passenger counts expected at 153,000 and 162,000, respectively. The days leading up to and following these dates are also expected to see high traffic, each surpassing the 140,000 mark. Morning hours before 9:00 a.m. see a significant share of SEA’s daily foot traffic, leading to crowded conditions at security checkpoints and entrance drives, with additional busy periods in the afternoon and late evening.
