Shillong to host Tourism Mart on 21st Nov

Government of India, Tourism Ministry, is all set to host the 11th edition of International Tourism Mart at Shillong in Meghalaya. It would start from 21st till 23rd November, 2023.

Every year, the International Tourism Mart show is organized by the Ministry in one of the North Eastern States in India on a rotational basis, with an aim to offer a bigger platform for the stakeholders of North East to talk with their counterparts from within the country as well as from global markets and creating awareness in terms of the potential of tourism in North East Region and also emphasize its exclusive tourism products, exotic bio diversity, exceptional heritage like various forms of dances, local traditions, handicrafts, arts, and handlooms to a local and global audience.

Also, the International Mart is going to be an exclusive event, as it has been scheduled as a Green Event by accepting low carbon selection on the lines of the action strategy devised by Ministry of Forest, Environment, and Climate Change, GOI for the execution of Mission LiFE and informing the stakeholders of tourism and creating increased awareness about its aim. There will not be of any usage of SUP or Single Use Plastic.
