That was the way Shirley Bond, the Opposition Leader, opened her weekly media availability, explaining British Columbians are quite positive however suggests that there still needs to be some sort of regulation as the province introduces its Restart Plan.
The Restart Plan includes raising restrictions in travel, beginning domestic travel plan within BC as of June 15th. On July 1st, the plan will lift restrictions on travel all over the country. Music to the ears of the CEO of Tourism Prince George.
“We’re actually opening the physical visitor centre on Monday,” says Tracey McBride, CEO of Tourism Prince George. “We’re excited to have a full summer staff complement and we’re going to take out our mobile.”
To start, centre will be functioning at reduced hours. However Bond says the industry is still in need of help.
“We need to make sure that those struggling tourism businesses get the help they need. We’re going to continue to press to get money out the door to support that business.”
