Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) is excited to introduce Silver Airways, offering direct flights to the Palm Beaches from Tampa (TPA) and Nassau, Bahamas (NAS), commencing March 5th. Additionally, flights from Tallahassee (THL) will commence on March 6th, Pensacola (PNS) on March 7th, and Marsh Harbor, Bahamas on March 9th, 2024. Tickets start from just $78 for one-way travel.
“We are happy to welcome Silver Airways back to PBI with new nonstop destinations,” said Laura Beebe, Director of Airports for Palm Beach County. “The new service will provide additional options to our passengers traveling within Florida and to the Bahamas.”
Silver Airlines is pioneering the introduction of the new ATR-600 series in the United States, boasting the broadest cabin in the regional aircraft market. This cutting-edge series showcases an innovative ergonomic layout and lightweight, space-saving seats, providing passengers with ample legroom surpassing many mainline aircraft. Moreover, Silver’s ATR fleet features generously sized overhead bins, spacious lavatories, well-lit LED cabins, and notably quieter operation compared to conventional regional jets.
The maiden voyage, Flight 3M 90, embarked from TPA at 7:30 a.m. and touched down at PBI at 8:35 a.m. The aircraft received a warm welcome at its destination, with Palm Beach County Aircraft Rescue and Firefighters marking its arrival with a water cannon salute.
