The SIA Group has been distinguished with two awards at the Air Transport World (ATW) magazine’s esteemed Airline Industry Achievement Awards ceremony. SIA’s CEO, Mr. Goh Choon Phong, received the 2024 Excellence in Leadership Award, while Scoot, the group’s budget airline, was awarded the Value Airline of the Year title. These awards follow Singapore Airlines’ recognition as Airline of the Year by ATW in 2023.
The ATW Airline Industry Achievement Awards are highly sought after in the aviation sector, awarded by a selection committee of editors and analysts from the Aviation Week Network’s ATW, CAPA, and Routes.

The Excellence in Leadership Award is a testament to Mr. Goh’s significant contributions to the SIA Group, while also recognizing the remarkable rebound of Singapore Airlines and Scoot amid the Covid-19 pandemic challenges. Under his guidance, both airlines swiftly capitalized on the reopening of borders, maintaining their premier status within the aviation sector.
Singapore Airlines has consistently shown its dedication to delivering a superior customer experience from start to finish. This commitment is evident in its investments across its network, enhancements in products and services, and advancements in digital technology. Furthermore, as part of its strategy to establish multiple hubs, SIA has significantly bolstered its strategic position in India through the upcoming merger of Air India and Vistara. This merger will grant it a 25.1% share in the expanded Air India Group upon completion.

These efforts have led to unprecedented gains in passenger income, occupancy rates, and profitability for Scoot.
