“At Sofitel, we have always cared about promoting culture. This partnership with the Philharmonie de Paris is no chance occurrence, as we share a number of values, particularly in the area of inclusivity and inclusivity. This collaboration enables us to continue sharing classical music – particularly French classical music – throughout the world. This comes to life in our logo, our Cultural Link; which has become a true symbol of cross-cultural exchange. Once again, we are bringing art into our hotels.” — Nicolas Gronier, VP Global Marketing Sofitel

The Orchestre de Paris, a sanctuary for music

Dedicated to the initiatives of the Philharmonie de Paris, of which it is an integral part, the Orchestre de Paris exemplifies the fusion of creative excellence and the mission of inclusivity. With two concerts weekly during the Philharmonie’s symphonic season in the Grande Salle Pierre Boulez and on global tours, the orchestra elevates the institution’s renown. Its artists frequent various spaces within the Philharmonie, including the Studio, Amphitheatre, and Music Museum. Actively engaged in audiovisual endeavors, the Orchestre de Paris also champions educational endeavors, hosting orchestral academies for budding musicians, presenting family-friendly concerts, and reaching out to schools, hospitals, and organizations serving the elderly such as Les Petits Frères des Pauvres. Additionally, it supports the Demos orchestra project, designed to offer music education with a social mission to talented young musicians.

“The Orchestre de Paris constitutes one of the pillars of the Philharmonie. Its young conductor, Klaus Mäkelä, stands out as one of the stars of symphony. Thanks to the remarkable consonance that its members have reached, the orchestra is now recognized as a reference in France and throughout the world. An exemplary ambassador of the Philharmonie beyond its walls, the orchestra will perform in the United States and Canada on a tour funded exclusively with the support of its community of sponsors. I commend the decision of the Sofitel brand, which is just as committed as we are to the dissemination of the values that we uphold.” — Olivier Mantei, General Director of the Philharmonie de Paris.

A fusion of excellence emerges

Embarking on a transatlantic journey, the orchestra accompanied by the esteemed 28-year-old conductor Klaus Mäkelä, renowned worldwide, presents four extraordinary performances for North American audiences. The venues include Ann Arbor, New York’s Carnegie Hall, Boston’s Concert Hall, and Montreal’s Place des Arts. Preceding the concerts in New York and Montreal, exclusive musical showcases by orchestra members will grace Sofitel suites in both cities.
