Songjiang’s summer cultural and tourism events kick off

This summer, Songjiang has a lot to offer, including the Lotus Festival, the Lamb Gourmet Gala, the Music Carnival, and cultural trips.

Six cultural and tourism events are listed under “Rural Fun” in Maogang Town, including the Songjiang Lotus Festival, the Zhangze Goat Meat Culture and Tourism Festival, the 6th Agricultural Culture Festival, and a cycling tour of the Fanjia Village along Paochen Road.

In the Sheshan National Tourism Resort, the summer carnival season has already begun. East Sheshan Park, West Sheshan Park, Chenshan Botanical Garden, Tianmashan Scenic Area, Hengyunshan Park, Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park, and Yuehu Sculpture Park are all along the route.

The “Summer Fun” category provides a variety of themed activities, including water play in Shanghai Happy Valley and Maya Water Park, ice fun at Shimao Smurfs Park, and water-themed games in Pancoat Park that feature mermaid swimsuit performances and live water pistol warfare.

For individuals who enjoy art and culture and would want to take a nice tour of the district’s cultural attractions, see the “Stroll in the Gardens and Exhibitions” area. These include the lotus exhibition at the Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, the summer special art exhibitions at the Yunjian Granary, the bronze mirror exhibition at the Songjiang Museum, the exhibition of landscape paintings at the Cheng Shifa Art Museum, and the exhibition of “The Great History of Chinese Paintings” at the Yunjian Cultural and Art Center.

The eight new locations in Songjiang that should be visited this summer have also been unveiled.

The Xinbang Lotus Base, which has the largest collection of lotus seedlings in east China, the Chenglan International Forest Camp, with its lush vegetation, the Jingshitang Red Book Hall, which provides book reading, calligraphy instruction, and painting research, the Jiangnan Qusheng Memorial Hall, which showcases the performing legacy of Peking Opera masters, the Stargazing Theme Hall, which allows visitors to explore the mysteries of the cosmos, and the Juhewan Little Theater
