Southwest Airlines, Hawaii,

Southwest Airlines celebrates five years in Hawaii, partnering with CNHA as the Kilohana Hula Show’s Presenting Sponsor, showcasing native culture.

Southwest Airlines Co. marks the fifth year of its operations in Hawaii by unveiling a collaboration with the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA), taking on the role of the leading sponsor for the cherished and rejuvenated Kilohana Hula Show.

This initiative, dubbed the Kilohana Hula Show and sponsored by Southwest Airlines®, is available to everyone at no cost and takes place from Sunday to Thursday between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at the Waikiki Shell. Attendees can immerse themselves in authentic Hawaiian culture through performances by top hula schools, including those that have triumphed at the Merrie Monarch Festival.

Celebrating Half a Decade of Hawaiian Journeys
Since launching its Hawaiian operations in 2019, Southwest® has expressed gratitude for the opportunity to expand its reach to five Hawaiian airports, providing a direct link between the Hawaiian Islands and the mainland across eight strategic airports: Long Beach, Oakland, Sacramento, San Jose in California; Los Angeles (LAX); San Diego; Las Vegas; and Phoenix. Currently, Southwest schedules 90 flights daily to Hawaii, including 60 inter-island flights. Over these years, Southwest Airlines has contributed over $3.2 million in financial and in-kind support to local non-profits in Hawaii. The airline is excited to continue engaging with the community through innovative programs planned for the entire year.
