EOS-X SPACE, a Spanish space exploration company, is set to launch its maiden space tourism flights in 2025, offering luxurious journeys to the stratosphere.
EOS-X SPACE, a pioneering Spanish space exploration company, is finalizing preparations for its inaugural space tourism flights set for the third quarter of 2025. Headquartered in Seville, Spain, EOS-X SPACE plans to launch these extraordinary journeys from both Seville and Abu Dhabi, marking a significant milestone in the commercial space travel industry. This ambitious project, first introduced in September 2020, aims to provide passengers with an unparalleled space travel experience, reaching altitudes of over 40 kilometers above Earth.

Founded by Kemel Kharbachi, EOS-X SPACE has made significant strides in developing its space tourism program. The company is meticulously working on validating tests and developing the spaceship capsules in collaboration with military pilots and the National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA). This phase of preparation is crucial to ensure the safety and success of the maiden flights.
EOS-X SPACE has already invested over USD 23 million (INR 192,022,170) in engineering and development efforts in Spain and the UAE. The company is also engaged in a multi-million dollar investment round led by the US investment bank FTI Capital Advisor, anticipating a remarkable revenue growth of 220 percent over the next five years due to solid scalability forecasts.
The core of EOS-X SPACE’s offering is its unique space travel experience. Passengers will travel in a pressurized carbon-fiber spaceship propelled by a zero-emission, helium-filled balloon. Each capsule, accommodating eight passengers and one pilot, will ascend to an altitude of over 40 kilometers. The entire journey will span approximately five hours: a two-hour ascent, a two-hour cruise at peak altitude, and a one-hour descent.
Inside the capsule, passengers will enjoy a range of luxurious amenities. The spaceship is equipped with ergonomic seats, large picture windows for panoramic views, a bathroom, adjustable mood lighting, and even an onboard bar. The cost for this exclusive experience ranges from USD 160,550 to USD 214,060 (INR 13,403,982 to INR 17,871,419).

In addition to the space travel itself, EOS-X SPACE offers an immersive experience at the SpaceHub Complex in La Isla de la Cartuja for those flying out of Seville. Travelers will be accommodated in an ultra-luxury hotel, where they can indulge in pioneering treatments and experiences related to their space journey. While detailed plans for Abu Dhabi have not been fully disclosed, it is expected that similar luxurious accommodations and experiences will be provided.
Seville, a major tourist destination in Spain, is renowned for its historical and cultural attractions, such as the Catedral de Sevilla, Plaza de España, Torre del Oro, and Casa de Pilatos. On the other hand, Abu Dhabi is emerging as a key tourist hub in the Middle East, featuring attractions like Ferrari World, Yas Island, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Museum, and the Mangrove Marine National Park.
EOS-X SPACE’s initiative is set to transform space tourism, making it accessible and luxurious. As the countdown to the 2025 launch continues, the anticipation builds for what promises to be an extraordinary addition to the world of travel.
