Specialist Leisure Group appoints Paul Smith

Paul Smith has joined Specialist Leisure Group  as the new chief financial officer, will assume role in October and will be reporting to chief executive Richard Calvert.

He has been appointed after the existing CFO Gary Speakman took over as chief operating officer.

Smith joins from dnata Emirtaes and served here as the finance director B2B Europe and was previously with Airtours, Cooperative Travel and Gold Medal/Travel 2.

 
Smith felt privileged as he will b e joining Specialist Leisure Group and was looking forward to working closely with Richard, Gary and the team.

 
Calvert mentioned that their rigorous recruitment process clearly identified Paul as the stand out candidate .He was positive Smith will prove to be a great asset and cultural fit within the SLG family.

Last month the Shearings Leisure Group was rebranded as the Specialist Leisure Group in order to better present its leisure and travel brands.
