StarCruises lately held their first event aboard the Star Voyager, docked at Port Klang, in collaboration with Ronald McDonald House Charities Malaysia (RMHC Malaysia). Almost 200 children, Malaysian pediatric patients, and their families were invited for a day of joy and fun aboard a cruise ship. The families, who were patients at Hospital Tunku Azizah, Kuala Lumpur, had the rare opportunity to partake in other activities besides the usual hospital routine and spend a fun day on the ship during its first cruise of the 2023/2024 season.
The event also served as a preview of Star Voyager’s seasonal routes, with the first cruise scheduled for December 19, 2025, and ending on February 2, 2026. The ship will stop at popular cruise destinations: Phuket, Singapore, and Bintan. This collaboration comes from StarCruises’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) endeavor of “Bringing Hope and Happiness Onboard and Beyond,” where they aim to support the communities surrounding the cruise terminals in Southeast Asia.

A Day of Fun Experiences for Families
Children and their families were given plenty of fun and exciting activities at the Star Voyager, which was decorated for the event as well. Activities and entertainment were set up for families and children to keep them engaged and enjoy the event, which included visits by the well-known StarCruises and McDonald’s characters, as well as acrobats and magicians. Everyone on the Star Voyager also enjoyed a fun dance performance put on by the hardworking and talented staff members.
Children were overjoyed and filled with a sense of wonder. They participated in activities such as balloon art and crafts, were entertained by clowns, and of course, the families were served a fully-inclusive Halal afternoon tea on the sails, which included a special Halal-certified section. Every effort was made so that all guests could enjoy themselves without any discomfort.
The children and their families were able to explore the attractions in the theaters, luxurious dining rooms, and many of the other facilities while the ship was docked. For families who have to spend a lot of time in hospitals and doctors ‘ offices, this initiative lets families spend a day of entertainment together with the children, cruising, and doing other distractions during the long, monotonous, and stressful times of medical visits.
