STB suspends Intersys Pte. Ltd. for non-compliance with regulations

The Singapore Tourism Board (“STB”) has announced the suspension of Intersys Pte. Ltd. (travel agent licence number 03471) (“Intersys”) from conducting travel agent activities as of 14 February 2024, in accordance with the Travel Agents Act 1975.

This suspension is a consequence of Intersys’s failure to meet regulatory requirements, specifically in submitting its annual business profile returns (“ABPR”) and audited statement of accounts (“AA”) within six months after the close of its financial year. Additionally, the company did not pay the financial penalty imposed for this violation, leading to the suspension. Intersys will remain suspended until it fulfills the financial penalty or for a maximum of six months, whichever occurs first. During this suspension period, Intersys must fulfill its existing obligations to customers but is prohibited from accepting new travel bookings.
