SWISS appoints new management board appointees; Lufthansa Investor Relations sees change

The Swiss airline SWISS has made significant changes to its Management Board, appointing two new members to ensure continuity within its operations. Oliver Buchhofer and Dennis Weber are the latest additions, set to assume crucial roles as COO and CFO, respectively. These appointments also mark a shift in the dynamics of Lufthansa Group Investor Relations.

Oliver Buchhofer, aged 47, is slated to become the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Swiss International Air Lines, effective May 1. With a background in economics and extensive experience as a pilot, Buchhofer’s appointment aims to strengthen SWISS’s core business. Having served as Head of Operations since 2021, Buchhofer’s journey with SWISS began in 2007, following stints with Tyrolean Airways and Austrian Airlines.

Dennis Weber, aged 44, is set to assume the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Swiss International Air Lines, also starting May 1. Weber, previously Head of Investor Relations at Lufthansa Group, brings a wealth of financial expertise gained from his tenure at adidas AG and Hugo Boss AG. His transition underscores SWISS’s commitment to financial stewardship and strategic management.

Meanwhile, Marc-Dominic Nettesheim, aged 48, will succeed Dennis Weber as the Head of Investor Relations at the Lufthansa Group. Currently overseeing Mergers & Acquisitions, Nettesheim’s diverse background in business administration and banking positions him well for this pivotal role. His journey, which began at Dresdner Bank and included roles at KPMG and Bankhaus Metzler, reflects the Lufthansa Group’s focus on maintaining robust investor relations amidst organizational changes.
