Syrian targeted in heartening up tourism

Today, the Tourism Investment Forum 2022 began in Damascus. It started with the participation of officials of the government and companies, along with businessmen and investors from outside countries.


The Syrian Ministry of Tourism and the Investment Board, organized the opening of the event, which had two photographic demonstrations and video presentations of the 25 projects that will be conducted in many provinces.


The government is all set to boost up investments with a mission to attain tourism sustainability and improve the sector’s role in the development, besides ensuring job opportunities, said Hussein Arnous, the Prime Minister.


He stated that the forum is targeting to attain best financial viability for investment in terms of assets and buildings that belong to the public institutions, popular organizations and trade unions, to reinstate their activity that got broken up due to terrorism.


Of late, in Damascus, the local authorities kick-started the first 5-Star hotel from the time of the onset of the terrorist war the country has been conquering and moving on.


Syria in May 2021 passed a new law. It encouraged the execution of projects that add to the rebuilding of the country and attaining financial development.


The legislation gives confidence at the same time safeguards foreign and local capital, and offers an enabling environment for setting up investments and projects, besides offering customs and tax privileges.
