Tampa International Airport is set to once again highlight its commitment to environmental sustainability with its second annual showcase, coinciding with Earth Day week. Various airline partners, regional collaborators, local enterprises, and the University of South Florida (USF) will converge to demonstrate the collective efforts of the Tampa Bay region in safeguarding Florida’s natural surroundings.
Scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the event will unfold at Tampa International Airport’s Event Space on Level 3 of the Main Terminal.
Attendees are encouraged to explore TPA’s freshly updated 2024 Sustainable Management Plan and engage with Eric Caplan, the Airport’s Sustainability and Resilience Program Director. Caplan will be available to delve into topics ranging from electric vehicle (EV) chargers to TPA’s involvement in the Airport Carbon Accreditation Program. Additionally, members of TPA’s interior landscaping team will be present to illustrate their year-round efforts in maintaining the airport’s lush greenery.
