TAP unveiled its latest addition at Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa (BTL) this year, solidifying its position as a key exhibitor at Portugal’s premier tourism event. Reflecting TAP’s new mantra, “We embrace the world,” the company’s fresh stand boasts an innovative design aimed at immersing visitors in the thrill of travel.

At this year’s BTL, attendees can anticipate an unparalleled experience at the TAP stand, offering captivating insights into aviation and tourism. The highlight of the event was TAP’s customary BTL gathering, hosted by actor and TAP ambassador Ricardo Pereira. During the affair, CEO Luís Rodrigues unveiled the company’s major innovations for 2024.

Furthermore, TAP announced its partnership with the Portuguese Olympic Committee during the BTL event. As an official partner of the Portuguese Olympic Committee, TAP will fly Olympic athletes to Paris for the 2024 Games. The collaboration was formalized in the presence of José Manuel Constantino, President of the COP, and esteemed Olympic athletes Liliana Cá (athletics), Miguel Nascimento (swimming), and Gustavo Ribeiro (skateboarding), marking TAP’s integral role within “Team Portugal” for Paris 2024.

José Manuel Constantino said that “this relationship we have established in relation to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which also has the circumstance of being linked to a country with a significant Portuguese presence over several generations, is particularly significant for us. I would like to publicly thank TAP for its willingness to enter into this partnership with the Portuguese Olympic Committee.”

Luís Rodrigues expressed his optimism for TAP to escort returning athletes adorned with Olympic medals from Paris.

Fresh Portuguese culinary talent revitalizes TAP Air Portugal’s “Local Stars” and Business Class menus.

During BTL, TAP Air Portugal and The Art of Tasting Portugal unveiled six new chefs and premium ingredients set to grace the airline’s long-haul flights over the next year.

Through the Local Stars initiative, TAP’s business class voyages celebrate Portugal and its iconic ingredients, spotlighting regional chefs and products. Building upon the project’s inaugural success, the upcoming roster features Arnaldo Azevedo, André Cruz, Rodrigo Castelo, Carlos Afonso, Alexandre Silva, and Rui Paula. Each chef will showcase a Portuguese region and its quintessential product through an exclusive menu, served for two months aboard TAP aircraft.

Renewed for 2024, the “Local Stars” project aims to showcase Portugal’s diversity and gastronomic richness, highlighting its distinct regions and culinary traditions.

TAP fortifies its summer operations to Brazil and North America.

During the peak of summer 2024, the airline will provide 96 weekly flights between Portugal and Brazil, marking an increase of 16 flights from the previous summer’s 80.

Additionally, TAP will operate 77 weekly flights between Portugal and the United States of America, representing a five-flight uptick from the previous year. Furthermore, 20 weekly flights to Canada will be available, marking a five-flight increase from the summer of 2023.
