The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently collaborated with various partners to highlight Thailand’s tourism offerings and soft powers through exclusive events in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Thailand’s Tourism Authority and Ministry of Foreign Affairs showcased its offerings in Kazakhstan through exclusive events. Kazakhstan is a growing market for Thai tourism, with increasing visitor numbers.

Thailand Showcases Tourism in Kazakhstan
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently collaborated with various partners to highlight Thailand’s tourism offerings and soft powers through exclusive events in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The “Friends of Thailand Networking Day” and “Amazing Thailand: A Glimpse of the Land of Smiles” events were organized with the aim of promoting Thailand as a year-round destination.

Government Support for Thai Tourism
Ms. Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Minister of Tourism and Sports, emphasized the synergy between TAT and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in promoting Thai tourism in Kazakhstan.

The events were attended by a Thailand delegation including key officials and local tourism operators, showcasing cultural performances and tourism experiences to attract Kazakhstani travelers.

Rapid Growth of Kazakhstani Tourists in Thailand
Thailand has seen a significant increase in visitors from Kazakhstan, with 172,489 tourists recorded in 2023 alone.

The number continues to rise, with most travelers being families and couples who prefer beach resort destinations.

Improved air access between the two countries has contributed to the growth in tourism, with multiple flight options available for travelers.
