The 23rd Tour de Borobudur event promotes tourism

On August 5-6, 2023, Bank Jateng hosted the 23rd Tour de Borobudur festival. This event was organized as a promotion incident of tourism in Central Java.

On Sunday, Hendra Dharmanto, the current chairman of the cycling tour event, said that the 23rd Tour de Borobudur on the first day covered a distance of 113.7 kilometers, with a quite a lot of challenging routes.


On the first-day, the route was Surakarta – Plupuh – Sragen to Cetho Temple via Kemuning Tea Plantation. The participants went through a tremendous ascend, from the plantation to the temple.


They passed the Karangpandan – Karanganyar route, after the climb, and completed at the Pracima Tuin Park, Surakarta.


An amusing route was scheduled on the second day, which covered a distance of 103 kilometers. This course became a preferred way for the racing bike enthusiasts.


This route included numerous tourist destinations with the start at Surakarta, and continues to Klaten, Sleman, and the last stop is at Borobudur Temple, Magelang.


Dharmanto said that this way is exciting as it traverses numerous tourist places along the way.


PT TWC who runs the Prambanan Temple, Borobudur Temple, and Ratu Boko Site, commended the execution of the Bank Jateng Tour de Borobudur.
