The 9th Asian Tourism Fair starts from 29th September

At the International Convention City Bashundhara, Dhaka, Bangladesh, the three-day 9th Asian Tourism Fair (ATF) will kick-start from 29th September and will continue till 1st October, 2022.


In the exhibition, almost 130 companies relate to tourism from 18 countries are going to take part in.


In this connection on Sunday, Parjatan Bichitra, the well-known Travel magazine, the organiser of the fair, had arranged a press conference at a city hotel.


The main participants of the fair are motels, resorts, hotels, cruise line, airline, tour operator and theme park.


The State Minister for Tourism, Mahbub Ali, at the press conference, said that the country has since May 2021, has implemented visa-on-arrival. However, the visa process has to be made simple to draw foreign tourists, he added.


The formulation of the long-expected master plan is almost at the final part. It would be available within December 2022. Through this plan, the tourism industry of Bangladesh will move to a rich destination.


In the said fair, more than 50 companies from Bangladesh, Thailand, Bhutan, Nepal, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Lithuania will participate. In both home and abroad, these companies will offer holiday packages along with special offers for the upcoming tourism season, Mohiuddin Helal, editor of the Parjatan Bichitra said at the press conference.


From 10am until 7pm, the fair would open for the visitors’ every day. The entrance fee will be Tk30.
