The Luxury Collection is thrilled to unveil its latest collaboration with Laila Gohar, a renowned chef and artist celebrated for her unique culinary creations. As part of the brand’s esteemed Global Explorer program, this partnership underscores a commitment to celebrating the world’s cultural and artisanal heritage through the innovative perspectives of leading creatives. Building on their initial venture in April 2023, which saw Gohar as the inaugural epicurean explorer, the new project involves a series of six bespoke candles, each drawing inspiration from iconic Luxury Collection hotels globally.

Each candle captures the essence and ambiance of its respective hotel, blending artistic flair with cultural narratives. This endeavor highlights the ongoing artistic connection between Gohar and The Luxury Collection, emphasizing their dedication to crafting unique epicurean experiences anchored in local authenticity.

To mark the candle launch, select hotels will introduce a menu of exquisite edible creations, meticulously crafted by Gohar alongside each hotel’s master pastry chefs. These culinary delights are designed to reflect the aesthetic and thematic elements of the candles, providing a taste of place that resonates with the essence of their inspirations:

• Sanasaryan Han, Istanbul: A cake echoing Istanbul’s architectural grandeur with cherry and fig fillings, celebrates the region’s rich culinary traditions.
• Augustine, Prague: Influenced by the property’s monastic heritage, this dessert features apple adornments, nodding to Czech culinary practices and local agriculture.
• Santo Mauro, Madrid: A rendition of the traditional Flores Manchegas pastry, this creation harmoniously blends port wine and citrus notes, reflecting Spain’s vibrant culinary palette.
• Perry Lane, Savannah: Inspired by Georgia’s culinary scene, this dessert pairs peach sweetness with a hint of mint, a tribute to Southern comfort and hospitality.
• The Joseph, Nashville: This chocolate and whiskey-infused cake honors Nashville’s confectionary history, inspired by the iconic Goo Goo Chocolate.
• The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho: This cake, infused with matcha and Sakura, celebrates Tokyo’s revered Sakura season, capturing the fleeting beauty of the blossoms in a delicately flavored dessert.
