The Malaysia-China Summit (MCS) 2024, supported by the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), was officially launched by Malaysia’s Minister of Transport, YB Anthony Loke, on December 17, 2024, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
Representing MyCEB at the event was Mr. Noor Azlan Abu Bakar, Director of Business Development.
Organized to commemorate 50 years of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations, MCS 2024 is spearheaded by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI) and implemented by MATRADE.
Under the theme “Prosperity Beyond 50,” the summit aims to foster future-focused partnerships in trade, investment, and diplomacy.
Key highlights of the summit include a three-day International Trade and Investment Exposition, a two-day Leadership Conference, and strategic programs such as business matching, investment presentations, and satellite sessions.
These initiatives align with Malaysia’s National Investment Aspiration (NIA) and the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030, underscoring the focus on sustainability and economic transformation.
MCS 2024 is set to attract over 11,000 attendees, including 5,700 international delegates, generating an estimated economic impact of RM177.7 million.
As the grand finale of a year-long celebration of Malaysia-China ties, the summit is projected to facilitate RM2 billion in trade and investment opportunities, solidifying Malaysia’s role as a key strategic partner for China and the ASEAN region.
“The Malaysia-China Summit 2024 is a pivotal platform for advancing economic collaborations and strengthening diplomatic ties between our nations,” said YB Anthony Loke.
“It reflects our shared commitment to sustainable growth and global success.”
As Malaysia and China celebrate five decades of partnership, MCS 2024 is poised to deliver transformative economic outcomes, driving shared prosperity and reinforcing Malaysia’s position on the global stage.
