Bengaluru 50 flights delay

On Sunday, bad weather across the country caused delays for over 50 domestic flights leaving from Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. The lengthy waits that passengers had to endure at the airport frustrated them.

Due to fog, some flights scheduled to go to other Indian cities, Goa, Delhi, Varanasi, Mumbai, Prayagraj, and Vijayawada had to be cancelled. Bengaluru Airport’s Terminal 1 saw chaotic scenes as a result of the airline disruptions, which included Indigo, Akasa Air, and Air India.

Actor Ranvir Shorey took to social media to express his displeasure, blaming the airlines for the mayhem. He questioned the airlines’ responsibility for managing the inconvenience to travelers. A dearth of communication from airline employees prompted other travelers to vent their annoyance on social media. According to reports, Monday morning’s flights were still delayed.

Indigo apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused, and blamed the delays on arriving flights arriving later than scheduled for operational needs.

Not just in Bengaluru, but also in northern India, where dense fog frequently delayed flights from Delhi. The Delhi airport’s website indicated that there were about 200 delays and at least ten cancellations during the day, despite the lack of official confirmation regarding the quantity of delayed flights.

Further delays and disruptions are anticipated to last for several days as a result of the unfavorable weather conditions that also affected train services throughout the nation, especially in North India.

The severe weather caused train services across the nation, especially in North India, to experience delays and stops in addition to disruptions to air travel. Travellers were faced with a bleak picture as a result of the cumulative effect of these disruptions, and while authorities attempted to lessen the effects of the bad weather, the situation was predicted to last for several days.

Even though airline staff tried their best to control the situation, there were still delays, and some reports even said that flights were disrupted into the next day.

In a statement addressing the situation, Indigo acknowledged the inconvenience that the situation had caused to the passengers and attributed the delays to the arriving flights arriving later than expected for operational reasons. But this justification did little to allay the worries of travelers who had been impacted by the continuous disruptions.
