The National Tourist Office of Morocco introduced ‘Light Tour Act II’

The National Tourist Office of Morocco has recently disclosed its designs to continue its “Light Tour” in Madrid, Lisbon, and Sao Paulo.

The tour’s second phase comes just after the successful conclusion of the ONMT’s first “Light Tour” organized in London, Paris, and New York in May.

Abdel El Fakir, the general director of ONMT will head a Moroccan team of tourism actors to congregate with their counterparts in Spanish cities.

For the “Light Tour Act II” on Monday, Lisbon was the first stop. Othmane Bahnini, the Moroccan Ambassador to Portugal, took part in the ceremony next to the representatives of the tourism sector of Portugal, comprising the policymakers and airline managers.

We are happy to work together with our partners of Portugal to build up this market, whose potential in terms of growth is yet to be used completely. We must make our efforts stronger to greet more travellers from Portugal to Morocco, El Fakir said.

The ONMT Light Tour will carry on with stops in Madrid on June 21st in Spain and Sao Paulo in Brazil on June 23rd.
The “Light Tour Act II” is the furtherance of the international campaign named “Morocco: Land of Light”. It was aimed to endorse the North African country as a vacation spot and glow as a new light on famous and unexplored tourist destinations.

The international campaign has so far targeted over 20 markets, including France, Spain, Germany, the UK, and the US, as well as African and Middle Eastern countries.
