UAE-Israel tourism gains momentum, ‘green corridor’ agreed

Ongoing developments between the UAE and Israel continue to bolster the UAE-Israel tourism market between the two countries.



In the latest move, the countries have agreed to open a ‘green corridor’- ensuring free travel between the two provided residents are vaccinated.


The Israel Embassy, said the agreement is another great achievement for the relationship between the two countries.

Travel to Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s capital city had already allowed quarantine-free travel for Israel travellers since August this year.

UAE-Israel tourism continues to grow

Since the UAE and Israel normalised relations in September 2020, there has been a range of new initiatives and agreements to further bolster the collaboration of the two economies.


By October, Abu Dhabi hotels were given the ability to be given official kosher meal certification. Kosher dining is a vital part of the normalisation efforts between Israel and the UAE as many Israelis follow a strict kosher diet.



By the end of October 2020, visa-free travel was announced between the two countries.

Thanks to all this, More than 250,000 Israel tourists have visited the UAE since September 2020.

Despite the movement restrictions associated with the pandemic, the tourist exchanges between the two nations witnessed significant momentum.



Around 250,000 Israeli tourists have visited the UAE over the past period. It is expected that cooperation in this field will further grow over the coming period.
