The year 2023 has seen an upsurge of new airline launches

With mirth and exuberance, 2023 rolled out a frenzy of airlines. People who have been apprehensive due to the unrelenting ticket prices have been relieved. The commencement of new regional carriers unfurled an upsurge in air travel. Not only did it help the passengers to render a waltzing joy, but also the entrepreneurial spirit was hoisted unabashedly. Accessing flights pertaining to budget has become easier with the introduction of newer airlines. Not only budget flights but also the streamlined booking process have contributed to passenger’s undaunted spirit. Customers have taken advantage of the finest deals by making reservations online. A vast array of airlines have been launched in 2023, catering to the soft-leathered, leg-out realm of the pinnacle top-tier aviation elite.

Here is a list of the new airlines that were launched in 2023:

Aerus (Mexico)

As a domestic operator in Mexico’s aviation industry, Aerus made a smooth transition to operations earlier this year. 

It purchased thirty Alice all-electric planes, which are operated by Tampico, Ciudad Victoria, Matamoros, and Piedras Negras, out of Monterrey International Airport. Furthermore, it aids in the transportation of special baggage such as sports equipment or musical instruments as checked baggage. 

Ghana Airlines

Ghana Airlines began operations with domestic and regional flight routes as a joint venture of Zotus Group and Ashanti Airlines. Ghana International Airlines went out of business in 2010, leaving the nation without a national airline.

ESAV Airlines (Ecuador) 

This is an option for those who want local air service from the Ecuadorian Darwin’s Galapagos archipelago. There are two small aircraft: the Piper Seneca can accommodate five passengers, while the Britten Norma Islander can accommodate nine. San Cristóbal, Isabela, and Baltra are the three airports in the Galápagos Islands.

Yazd Air (Iran) 

The carrier, originating from the ancient city of Yazd, is based in central Iran. Yazd Air’s fleet consists of two A310s and two BAe-146 aircraft. Shahid Sadouqi Airport in Yazd was the destination of its inaugural flight, which departed from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport.

Valletta Airlines (Malta)

Based in St. Julian’s, Malta, Valletta Airlines is an operator of A320 and A330 aircraft, founded by the Air Valletta Group with private Cypriot investment support.

AJet (Turkey) 

As an AJet subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, it entered the market with great momentum. By the end of March 2024, it will begin operating between Turkey and the United Kingdom. Founded in 2008 as AnadoluJet, the low-cost airline aimed to strengthen Anatolia’s air transportation connections.

BeOnd (Maldives)

With Beon travelling to the montage-clad Maldives, brushing against the bluish hue of the sky has become easier. It started its operations in November 2023 in the Maldives and thereafter turned to Zurich, Munich, and Riyadh. The airline uses Airbus A319 aircraft, which have forty-four state-of-the-art lay-flat seats and an excellent onboard experience with great dining.

NG Eagle (Nigeria) 

Lagos is home to the recently established Nigerian airline, NG Eagle. The official flight debut took place in December 2023, using a wet-leased A320-200 (from Heston Airlines).
