The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has teamed up with Big C Supercenter and its 49 suppliers to initiate two thrilling shopping initiatives, designed to provide both tourists and locals with opportunities to win rewards and discounts during their stay in Thailand from 1 April to 31 May 2024.

International visitors will have access to special benefits through the “Thailand Lucky Landing” initiative, while Thai nationals and expatriates can take advantage of discounts and earn points via the ‘Suk Thanthee…Thi Tiew Thai, Suk Pai Gan Yai Thi Big C’ campaign, which means ‘enjoy your travel in Thailand, get double the joy at Big C’.

TAT Governor, Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, said “The campaigns are aimed to offer even more amazing travel experiences in Thailand for foreign visitors, while stimulating Thais and expats to travel more to emerging secondary destinations. This will ensure that the tourism benefits are better distributed across the breadth and depth of the entire kingdom. The collaboration with Big C also forms part of our ‘Partnership 360’ efforts to drive Thailand’s tourism towards High-Value and Sustainability.”

During the inauguration of Big C Ratchadamri’s campaign, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosted 26 prominent content creators and influencers from countries such as India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam for an exclusive exploration of Big C. This event aimed to showcase top souvenir picks and essential food experiences within its food park, allowing these influencers to share their discoveries with their audiences.

In association with the “Thailand Lucky Landing” initiative, international visitors who pre-register will be greeted with an E-Coupon Travel pack upon their arrival in Thailand, available at Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang International Airport. Additionally, by scanning a QR code at the airport, they stand a chance to win one of 10,000 cash vouchers, collectively valued at 3 million Baht, redeemable across all Big C outlets excluding SPO Pure, with a passport required for verification.

Furthermore, under the ‘Suk Thanthee…Thi Tiew Thai’ promotion, both Thai nationals and expatriates can obtain an E-coupon discount upon signing up for a Big Point membership. They may also scan a QR code to earn Big Points, unlocking further benefits at 291 Big C locations across 15 secondary tourist destinations. These include Prachin Buri and Rayong in the East; Buri Ram, Chaiyaphum, and Nakhon Phanom in the Northeast; Phetchaburi, Saraburi, and Chai Nat in the Central region; Phrae, Phichit, Nan, and Chiang Rai in the North; as well as Surat Thani, Phang-nga, and Songkhla in the South.

Big C Supercenter Chief Executive Officer and President, Mr. Aswin Techajareonvikul, said “The partnership with TAT corresponds with Big C’s strategy to become the preferred destination for souvenir shopping. Both campaigns are aimed to help stimulate the Thai economy as well as encourage more domestic travel to the 15 provinces. Ultimately, the campaigns are expected to help create more meaningful travel experiences for tourists as they enjoy shopping perks and privileges while travelling in Thailand.”
