Ms. Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Asia and South Pacific, emphasised the significance of the event, stating: “SATTE 2025 is a vital platform for Thai tourism operators to foster business opportunities, introduce new travel products, and promote exclusive packages tailored to Indian tourists. It strengthens Thailand’s position as a premier destination under the globally recognised ‘Amazing Thailand’ brand, aligning with the ‘Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year’ initiative.”
Captivating Presence at India’s Premier Travel Event
SATTE 2025, recognized as India’s largest travel and tourism trade exhibition, is anticipated to attract over 35,000 visitors and 1,400 exhibitors from across the globe. The Thailand Pavilion, covering an impressive 300 square meters, is designed to maximize engagement and interaction. It features three distinct zones: an information hub to provide travel guidance, a business networking area for B2B connections, and an immersive cultural showcase presenting authentic Thai art, music, and culinary experiences.

The pavilion is supported by 50 leading Thai tourism businesses, creating a vibrant platform for business-to-business (B2B) collaborations. This strategic participation not only promotes Thailand’s tourist attractions but also facilitates networking opportunities, paving the way for future partnerships.
India’s Growing Love Affair with Thailand
India continues to be one of the most rapidly expanding markets for Thai tourism. In 2024, Thailand welcomed 2,129,149 Indian visitors, reflecting a remarkable 30.74% growth compared to 2023. This surge is largely driven by Thailand’s visa exemption policy, which allows Indian tourists to stay up to 60 days, and robust air connectivity with 2.93 million seats in 2024, approaching pre-pandemic travel volumes.

Ambitious Goals and Tailored Marketing Strategies
With a target of attracting 2.3 million Indian tourists in 2025, TAT is actively expanding its marketing initiatives to engage diverse travel segments, including families, luxury leisure seekers, wedding and celebration groups, and golf enthusiasts. To achieve this, TAT has launched two flagship campaigns tailored specifically for Indian travelers:
Unmatched Experiences and Diverse Destinations
Thailand continues to captivate Indian tourists with its unique travel experiences, world-class hospitality, and scenic beauty. Popular destinations like Bangkok, Chon Buri, Phuket, Krabi, and Surat Thani remain favorites, while emerging hotspots such as Ko Samui, Ko Tao, Ko Pha-ngan, Phang-nga, Rayong, and Chiang Rai are gaining popularity among Indian travelers.
Indian tourists are particularly attracted to Thailand’s vibrant beach destinations, delectable Thai cuisine, buzzing nightlife, rejuvenating wellness retreats, and rich cultural heritage tours. With an average spending of 34,920 Baht per trip and an average stay of 6.58 nights, Indian visitors contribute significantly to Thailand’s tourism economy.
Strengthening Thailand-India Tourism Relations
TAT’s strategic participation at SATTE 2025 highlights Thailand’s commitment to strengthening tourism ties with India. By showcasing a variety of travel experiences and engaging with Indian travel agents, tour operators, and stakeholders, TAT aims to enhance Thailand’s position as a preferred holiday destination for Indian travelers.
With its rich cultural diversity, luxury hospitality, and seamless connectivity, Thailand continues to charm Indian tourists, offering unforgettable experiences and cherished memories. As TAT continues to innovate and adapt its marketing strategies, Thailand is well-positioned to attract a new wave of Indian travelers in 2025 and beyond.
