‘Meet in Ireland’ Takes Center Stage at IMEX Frankfurt 2024
Tourism Ireland, alongside Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland, is spearheading the ‘Meet in Ireland’ initiative at IMEX Frankfurt 2024. Showcasing the island of Ireland as a premier Business Events destination, they’re engaging with thousands of international meeting and incentive travel organizers.
IMEX Frankfurt stands as a pinnacle in the global Business Events landscape, drawing attention from corporate meetings, events, and incentive travel sectors. Thirty-five esteemed tourism entities specializing in Business Events from across Ireland converge at the ‘Meet in Ireland’ booth, facilitating around 1,900 commercial meetings with global planners. These engagements are projected to yield lucrative Business Events for Ireland, extending into the millions of euros for 2024 and beyond.

By capitalizing on Ireland’s top-tier infrastructure, luxurious accommodations, cutting-edge venues, breathtaking landscapes, and unparalleled hospitality, they position the island as the ultimate destination for events of any scale.
Recent statistics from the CSO underscore Ireland’s appeal, with nearly 1 million Business Tourists welcomed over the 12 months ending March 2024.

Speaking at IMEX Frankfurt, Siobhan McManamy, Tourism Ireland’s Director of Markets, said: “IMEX Frankfurt is a key event in the industry calendar and an extremely important platform for us to promote the island of Ireland as a premier destination for Business Events. Business travel is high value and often midweek and off season by its nature, thereby aligning with Tourism Ireland’s strategy to grow overseas tourism revenue outside of the peak summer season.
