Inbound tourism in January and February of this year witnessed a growth of 35% compared to the corresponding period last year.
A total of 11.7 million tourists visited Egypt during 2022, tourism Minister Ahmed Issa announced on March 15th.
This came during a meeting headed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to follow up the progress made in the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) project, as well as the urban development efforts in the areas surrounding it.
Issa added that this year Egypt is expected to see 28% more tourists to reach up to 15 million.
