Tourism prospective in Katra area to be explored thoroughly

A delegation of Hotel & Restaurants Association, Katra (HRAK) & Federation of Hotels, Restaurants, Industries & Commerce of Jammu Region (FHRICJR) has urged the Deputy Commissioner Reasi, who has made it certainthat tourism prospective of the areas around Katra would be studied thoroughly.

DC Reasi was accompanied by Addl SP Katra Amit Bhasin and SDM Katra Angrej Singh. She said that places around Katra would be explored and efforts would be made for generating maximum employment opportunities.

The delegation included President HRAK & FHRICJR Rakesh Wazir, HRAK Chairman Shyam Lal Kesar among other dignitaries.

Wazir stressed that besides Yatra of Vaishnodevi ji, the Yatra to Shiv Khori Shrine has also increased manifold and all facilities connected with Shiv Khori including Helicopter Service between Katra to Shiv Khori and back, rope way at Shiv Khori, installation of Shiv Khori sign boards on the route to Katra to Bhawan and between Jammu to Katra and Udhampur to Katra, need to be given attention at the earliest.

Wazir also laid stressregarding improving places of pilgrim/tourist interest around Katra including Dhansar Baba, Nau Devian, Sear Baba, Sula Park, Devi Ki Pindian, since they all have enormous tourism potential and create employment opportunities at the same time.
