Tourist offers a reward of €1,000 for full money return

A Greek tourist is offering a €1,000 reward for the return of €4,900 (about B182,400) in full amount which was stolen from his rental car in Kata. If the money is returned in part, the tourist is willing to return 20% of the amount returned.

On Wednesday, Alexandros Alexiadis knew about a theft, however, till now didn’t receive any updates on whether the authority has adopted any stringent measure or not in recovering the lost money.

With his wife, Alexandros came to Phuket on Dec 26th along with their three children From Greece, they had arrived in Phuket under the Test & Go scheme. They had checked into Kata Ocean View Residence Condo Project. They will return on Feb 25th.

To quote Alexandros, “Officers from Karon P.S. came to see me twice, but it is hard to communicate with them. They don’t speak English.”

Alex has also mentioned that pandemic has decreased tourism income in the island and has made them desperate to earn.
