Ahead of FITUR, TourReview unveils insights on 2023 Spain tourism, analyzing 1.9M+ reviews, highlighting top travel destinations in tours & activities sector.

In anticipation of the FITUR event, the travel technology oriented critique platform, TourReview, specializing in tours and activities, has published its insights on the Spain tourism scene for the year 2023.

The study, which involved scrutinizing over 1.9 million evaluations across various platforms such as TripAdvisor, Google, GetYourGuide, Expedia, and Viator, presents an overview of the most sought-after travel spots in Spain’s diverse tours and travel activities market, where customer reviews are highly prized.

• Barcelona (1,089,128 reviews) with a 4.38 rating. Barcelona leads with a strong 4.38 rating, known for quality gastronomy and iconic sites like La Sagrada Familia and Casa Batlló.
• Madrid (665,239 reviews) with a 4.03 rating. Madrid, in second place, attracts with cultural sites such as the Parque del Retiro and the Prado Museum, and its gastronomy tours.
• Seville (38,957 reviews) with a 3.97 rating. Seville, ranking third, combines Flamenco shows, Plaza España, and food tours, enhancing its travel appeal.
• Santiago de Compostela (15,529 reviews) with a 4.23 rating. Noted for its cultural heritage, including the Cathedral and scenic views, Santiago de Compostela is favored for day trips.
• Malaga (9,880 reviews) with a 3.98 rating. Malaga draws visitors with cultural spots like the Glass and Crystal Museum and the Picasso Museum, plus its pleasant weather.
• Mallorca (7,283 reviews) with a 3.80 rating. Mallorca, in sixth place, is known for its natural beauty, including beaches and clear waters.
• Valencia (5,783 reviews) with a 3.85 rating. Valencia, ranked seventh, offers experiences with its famous paella, Arts and Sciences Museum, and nature parks.
• San Sebastian-Donostia (4,842 reviews) with a 3.97 rating. Renowned for its beaches and culinary scene, San Sebastian-Donostia is a top travel spot.
• Toledo (1,038 reviews) with a 4.49 rating. Toledo captivates with its medieval walled city and exceptional sightseeing tours.
• Bilbao (938 reviews) with a 5.00 rating. Bilbao, concluding the list, is famous for the Guggenheim Museum and its food scene.
