Transavia France expands to Stockholm Arlanda: New route to Marseille

Transavia France is set to enhance its presence at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with the introduction of a brand-new direct route to Marseille. This strategic move aims to cater to the growing demand for direct connections to the enchanting French Riviera. Commencing operations on June 6th, the service will run twice weekly.

As anticipation builds for the summer of 2024, Transavia France is making significant strides to augment Stockholm Arlanda Airport’s offerings by introducing a direct link to Marseille, the second-largest city in France. Marseille’s allure lies in its breathtaking beaches, rich historical heritage, and vibrant cultural scene, making it a dynamic destination within France. Situated along the French Riviera, Marseille not only beckons sun-seekers to its warm shores but also serves as a pivotal hub for regional trade, standing as France’s primary commercial port.

Elizabeth Axtelius, Director of Aviation Business at Swedavia, expresses great confidence in the Swedish air travel market and sees Transavia’s investment in this new direct route as a testament to this confidence. The demand for connections to France remains robust, and Transavia plays a pivotal role in bridging Sweden to established markets in the southern regions, she remarks. She underscores Swedavia’s commitment to enhancing connectivity, fostering interactions for both business and leisure, and enabling reunions with family and friends.

Nicolas Henin, Deputy General Director of Sales and Marketing at Transavia France, emphasizes the airline’s dedication to expanding its low-cost offerings in 2024. He envisions a plethora of travel possibilities for customers, who will have an abundance of options to connect with loved ones and explore sunny and sometimes lesser-known destinations.

The new route connecting Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Marseille will commence operations on June 6th, with flights available twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.
