Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, or CSMIA, has been reported to attained a great deal as it assesses its report relating to 2023. They have made rapid advances in the technological landscape. In addition, they showed a strong commitment to sustainable development as well.

CSMIA, with its first-rate services and state-of-the-art technology, has proved its worth and positioned itself as the aviation sector’s leader.

The CSMIA has played a key role in ensuring that the most stringent standards of security and safety are maintained annually for both employees and passengers.

The introduction of reusable cups to Jeju International Airport (South Korea) has proven to be successful. This has also improved the sustainable development of the environment.
CSMIA has not fallen short of its sustainability project. In addition, they proved their steadfast dedication to quality by successfully completing the major re-carpeting project on Runway 14/32, increasing overall operational efficiency. The CSMIA also attempted to drastically cut carbon emissions and aircraft entry and departure times with the introduction of Taxiway Z.

Furthermore, CSMIA has been instrumental in establishing a unique Disabled Aircraft Recovery Kit (DARK) was also put into service at CSMIA, making it the first airport in Asia to have this equipment, which includes high-pressure lifting bags. DARK reinforces CSMIA’s commitment to security and safety by ensuring an improved and efficient recovery process for even the largest commercial aircraft.

The airport has repeatedly shown that it can enhance its reputation internationally while boosting the national economy and demonstrating its operational excellence. For both the Indian economy and the CSMIA, November 2023 proved to be a remarkable month in both the domestic and international domains. With 167,132 passengers passing through CSMIA on November 25, the day saw the highest passenger traffic movement of the month. On November 11, 2023, the airport broke the previous record of 1,032 ATMs in a single day, which was set in 2018.
